Last nights meeting was a huge success and plenty of enjoyment for the young, and young at heart.
The spectacular entrance in a crane was a first for Santa Claus. Thanks to Chris and Cathy from Cranes Combined and their driver Peter for setting this up.
There was some fabulous racing with Junior Sedans, Formula 500’s, Speedcars, Street Stocks 20/20 and the Ken Tatnell Memorial for Modifieds. This was a close tussle between Craig Williams and Brad Herbert but Craig crossed the line for his 9th Ken Tatnell Memorial win. The Late Models threw a challenge to Brad Smith who qualified on pole and is only driver who has more than half a season of racing Late Models under their belt, to start off rear and make it to front for an extra few dollars. He took the challenge and although the other drivers put on a fabulous show in the final, Brad made it to the front.
To those who took a tumble last night – and there were a few mighty ones, look after yourself and we hope to see you back out soon.
Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway thank all those people who assist in the running of our track. From our gate staff, lap scorers, tow truck drivers, office staff, commentators, kids club, media, PA, pit staff, merchandise shop, maintenance crew and Santa Claus – thank you very much.
