It goes without saying that everyone connected with Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway, along with the wider Speedway family and the community in general are still in disbelief and greatly saddened by the unimaginable tragedy which took place in Devonport on Thursday morning.
Our most sincere condolences go to those families who have lost children in such horrific circumstances and our thoughts and well wishes are with those children still fighting for life and their families. Our thoughts are also with the First Responders, Emergency Services etc, School Staff, Parents and Students who were on the scene, and witnessed an unthinkable tragedy.
As a mark of respect we will be conducting a tribute to all those affected at tonight’s meeting, directly before Race 1 at 5.00pm.
At their request all our Junior Sedan drivers will be gathered on the infield, standing with their cars, and in conjunction with any other drivers or officials wishing to be involved, we will have a short tribute followed by a moments silence.
If you would like to stand with us and pay your respects to those affected by this tragedy, please make sure you are trackside prior to 5.00pm.
