National Modified Title – Postponed

NATIONAL MODIFIED SEDAN TITLE POSTPONED
Official Release: 13 March 2020

Speedway Sedans Australia wishes to advise that the SSA National Modified Sedan Title has been postponed. After today’s Australian government announcement regarding COVID-19 and ‘non-essential’ organised mass gatherings of more than 500 people being banned, the team at Carrick Speedway and Speedway Sedans Australia have no other option but to postpone next weeks National Modified Sedan Title.

This decision has not been made lightly and is in accordance with the Australian government’s recommendation for public events.

Given there is no time frame when the government’s ‘ban’ will be lifted, further details when or if the title can be rescheduled will be announced in due course.

At the time of writing, the National Street Stock Title being held at Latrobe at Easter, is still going ahead as planned, however Speedway Sedans Australia and the Latrobe venue management will be in constant communication with the relevant authorities and will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely.

While there remains a lot of unanswered questions with this press release, it is important that drivers and crews planning on heading to Tasmania over the next couple of days can now make alternative arrangements.

Speedway Sedans Australia would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this decision.

Ends Release.
